Issues in monitoring Māori health and ethnic disparities (2009)
This publication is the first in a planned series of topic-based discussion papers considering ethnicity data issues. It discusses technical and practical issues that relate to the monitoring of Māori health and ethnic inequalities in health over time.

Tatau Kahukura: Māori Health Chart Book (2006)
This report provides a picture of the health status of the Māori population compared to non-Māori. With the Māori population expected to grow by 20% between 2006 - 2021, Tatau Kahukura is an information tool for the health and disability sector, researchers, policymakers, funders – in fact anyone for whom reducing inequalities is a key goal.

The Māori Health Directorate at the Ministry of Health provides statistics on Māori Health.

Te Puni Kokiri publishes fact sheets on areas like health, employment and education.

Māori Health Review
A monthly review of studies relevant to Māori Health, supported by the Ministry of Health and edited by Dr Matire Harwood.

The New Zealand Health Information Service provides detailed statistical information.

PHIOnline is a tool for the visualisation of health and related information. It displays an interactive map with linked tables and charts which allow data to be viewed in multiple dimensions, and is an alternative way to viewing information.
