Papakura Marae Health Clinic  (Te Hiiri Hau Ora) is a Marae-based Clinic with 3 GPs, 3 RNs, 2 CHWs, 2 Admin Staff and Specialists.  We have a patient register of around 5,200, of which 80% are Maori.  The Marae also provides Tamariki Ora, Whanau and Social Services, Health Promotion and other Support Services.

A current Practicing Certificate is required, MedTech 32 experience is preferred  and remuneration is negotiable.

GP Vacancy at Greerton Health, Tauranga

Greerton Health in Tauranga seeks either 1 full time or 2 part time permanent General Practitioners wanting stability, permanency and be part of a team committed to quality care.

We are a small long established practice with the potential for growth.  We  have a patient base of 1900  serviced by 1 fte GP, 0.6fte Practice Manager, 1fte Reception/administrator and 1.2fte Practice Nurse/s. Te Runanga o Ngati Pikiao Health Service is seeking a suitably qualified General Practitioner to join our team of committed health professionals. We are situated in Rotorua and are a whanau/hapu mandated service. Ours is a small clinic of two Doctors and two nurses, servicing a patient base of around 2700, most of whom are Maori or Pacific Island. We also provide community based mental health services, wrap around whanau ora service, health promotion, community nursing, romiromi, social services and education and training.

Whai Oranga o te Iwi Health Centre, Wainuiomata, Wellington

Whai Oranga Health Centre is a community based health service which delivers a whanau (family/community) model of health care. The Centre has a total of 6300 enrolled patients with 58% being of Maori or Pacific Island ethnicity.

The Medical Council undertook a survey last year to find out why doctors chose to leave New Zealand and what might encourage them to return. Approximately 55 percent of doctors who were invited to participate in the survey completed it, with a total of 182 surveys completed.
