Maternity Information Systems Programme

A new way of collecting, sharing and viewing maternity and neonatal data is being developed that will support women to be involved in their own care, and have electronic access to their maternity information.  The Maternity Information Systems Programme is a national project. It is one of a number of projects underway that will see all New Zealanders and the health professionals caring for them having electronic access to their health information in the future. This means New Zealanders can be more fully involved in their own health care, and health professionals will know a person’s relevant health history and can look to provide the best care.To read more please click here.
